The Masters- Final Day

Jordan Spieth holds a 4-shot lead heading into today’s final round at The Masters in Augusta.

The 21-year-old who is competing in only his second Masters, broke the 54-hole record yesterday after a third round 70 took him to 16-under-par. Spieth only made 7 pars in a round dominated by birdies and potentially costly errors. A 3-putt on the 4th hole resulted in his first bogey of the week. He followed that with bogeys at the 7th and 14th and a double-bogey at the 17th.

Playing alongside Spieth for the final round is Justin Rose. The Englishman struggled again early on in his third round, but a back-nine 31 which included 5 birdies helped Rose card a much needed 67. He is four shots back on 12-under-par. They tee off at 7:50pm.

Phil Mickelson (11-under) and Charley Hoffman (10-under) tee-off in the penultimate group at 7:40pm. Potentially the most exciting group tees off at 7:30pm. Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy have been paired together on a Masters Sunday for the first time. Both are on 6-under-par and ten shots off the lead. You would think that both will need to do something pretty incredible to have any chance of getting that famous green jacket.

Other notable tee times are Angel Cabrera and Ernie Els (5:50pm), Paul Casey and Ian Poulter (7:00pm) and Jason Day and Luis Oosthuizen (6:40pm).

After a record breaking three days, Jordan Spieth has the opportunity to record the best ever score in Masters history. If he can stay in control of his game, post a level par 70, the green jacket should be his.
